Last month, I attended the very first BeautyCon event, held at the YouTube/Google offices in Venice Beach, CA. BFVA, short for Beauty and Fashion Vlogger Alliance scored me the invite and I was thrilled to be one of the attendees. I was first greeted by a photographer and a red carpet, followed by a cute hand wash demonstration by Tone Bodywash. I then entered a room where Google + experts gave us helpful tips on how to maximize our online presense, particularly YouTube channels. This was quickly followed by a panel of Beauty and Fashion experts and vloggers who shared their stories of getting started in the beauty and digital world. If that wasn't enough, we all got fabulous gift bags, filled with products from Sole Society, Fredericks of Hollywood, and Proactive, just to name a few. The best part of the night for me was getting the opportunity to meet fellow bloggers and beauty gurus who share so many of the same interests as myself. I am excited for the next BFVA event!

Halloween season has made its' way here yet again, and it is officially time to start considering costume options. We spend 365 days of the year trying to look the best we can. But on Halloween, we can be as messy, even scary looking as we please. We don't have to look perfect, in fact, if we want to go out into the public, looking like a complete monster, it is more than acceptable! Since I spend the rest of the year always trying to look neat, prim, and proper, I like to take full advantage of going to the other extreme; the dark side, if you will. I'm a big fan of the AMC series, The Walking Dead, which premiered last night, and decided that in the spirit of Halloween and zombies, I would pay homage to the creepy undead. I must admit that through this makeup application process, I really got into character, and dare I say that I even enjoyed it?
Watch my transformation here!
Not a day goes by that I'm not told by someone, "You look like Demi Lovato", so I thought it would be fun to recreate one of her make up looks and see just how closely we resemble one another.
